Mike Zaslav volunteered to discuss James Krenov and some of his woodworking
Mike studied with James Krenov for some time at the college of the Redwoods in California in Summer 1994 and the 9 month program, graduating in 1999.
Started CJWA Central Jersey Woodworkers Association, which led to the establishment of South Jersey Woodworking Guild

9 month program
Workshop building
Facilities (bench room, machine room, etc), Tools (bandsaw was #1)
Joinery used both machine and hand tools (machines to mill, hand tools to refine)
Dovetails, mortise and tenon, floating tenons, dowel joints, frame and panel doors, veneering
Project build – plane (sharpening, bandsaw, router and jig, glue and clamping, filing, make and adjust wedge, shaping with bandsaw, block plane, files and scrapers
Finish (planes, scrapers, sandpaper)
Krenov style sawhorses (blind mortise on feet, through and wedged mortises for vertical supports
Went over the use of dowels for alignment in the construction

Dave talked about his upcoming class on Townsend documents chest, lots of dovetails and other stuff. Used his new jointer/planer (Felder) for an end grain cutting board. Walnut, Maple and Ash. Ash was an issue. Used cut offs to make a second cutting board.
Work on table saw with sleds to make cones in preparation for turning
Salman gave rough briefing on results of surveys
